What’s the best and fastest PC to buy - Recommendation
Ok, now to bring this discussion to the point, which is whats the best and fastest PC to buy, to summarise you will need
A fast motherboard that
- Can accept and is matched to the chip you want to buy ie Intel or AMD etc
- A motherboard with a fast front side bus speed ie FSB 2600
- Intel i7 range
- AMD Thuban or whatever the new name will be that competes with the i7
- 7200 rpm
- 32 meg cache
- SATA2
- DDR3 or better
- 1600 – 2000 MHz or better
- 4,6 or 8 Gig will do you fine
- For games and general computing, go for a Nvidia GTX 295 if you want the top end
- Note that the top end is comprised of various manufacturers ie Asus, Gigabyte, Sapphire, XFX, Winfast and so forth, all these companies make good graphics cards, I only recommend the Nvidia GTX 295 as I would like to have one.
- If you would like to watch a movie in high definition on your computer you will need to get a card that suits this purpose.
- Logitech and others have good product representation here, lots to choose from, enjoy
- Beware the wireless products; if they don’t have rechargeable batteries then you will need to buy a good sized box of spares and off course try not to loose your mouse.
- 19 inch would be the small end of the scale, why not go for a 30 inch, this size is great when using spreadsheets and pretty much anything else.
- Match the monitor with a good video card that can display in high definition, your windows and applications will look great when displayed in 2560- x 1600 on a 30 inch screen.
